Kelly & Alex | A College of William & Mary WEDDING

Kelly and Alex’s day was filled with wonderful personal touches and memories, from nods to their love of Dinsey to portraits in front of Barrett Hall (freshman dorm). The couple met at the College of William & Mary, becoming friends first year while living in the same dorm, then eventually dating. In fact, their wedding date was almost 10 years to the day from when they were introduced by Alex’s Best Man!

We started the day quietly getting ready, Team Bride got the full beauty treatment while the guys chowed down on sandwiches from The Cheese Shop (a Williamsburg staple). Then came a classic ceremony in the beautiful Our Lady Walsingham Chapel, followed by portraits around campus. The couple made sure we included time for pictures in front of their freshman dorm and a walk across the famed Crim Dell Bridge, whose lore says you’re only supposed to cross with your forever person.

Next up was party time! Kelly and Alex planned a lovely reception decorated with DIY decor (made by Kelly’s mom), some “hidden Mikeys” (total mouse fans that got engaged at Dinsey World), and a spin on patriotic colors with navy, deep red, and gold everywhere. They also had “campaign buttons” and cards with the most fun wedding hashtag #NortonForMayer2016 – nothing like embracing getting married during an election year.
